The Micro-structure Changes of Tobacco Endosperm Cell at Germination Stage

  • The changes of micro-structure of endosperm cells at germination stage were observed by the method of resin-em bedding sections. M ain results were as follow s:①The endosperm cells gradually disintegrated from inside to outside and finally vanished as the embryo grew. ②The substances preserved in endosperm cells were transferred completely. The order of transference was:cytoplast, nucleus, spherosome, plasmolemma and internal membrane. ③In endosperm cells the disintegrated material was transferred through apoplast whereas embryo absorbed the disintegrated material from endosperm cavity through cotyledon epidermis cell.
