Preparation and Application of a Nicotine PVC Membrane Coated Glass Electrode

    Abstract
  • A nicotine PVC membrane coated glass electrode has been prepared with silicotungstic acid being the electroactive meterial.The electrode has high sensitivity and selectivity and near-Nernstian responses for 10-1~10-5 mol/L nicotine at the pH range 5~7.It has been applied to the determination of nicotine in the tobacco and smoke from different cigarettes.
