Improving Smoking Quality of Domestic Burley Tobacco by Casing

Abstract
The object of this study was to improve the smoking quality of domestic burley tobacco by casing. Four types of domestic burley tobacco were treated with selected sugars and nitrogenous compounds in different proportions, respectively, then roasted in an oven at 140℃. The sample cigarettes made of tested tobaccos were evaluated by panelists. The results showed that smoking quality of the domestic burley tobacco was significantly improved by applying proper amounts of sugars and nitrogenous compounds.
