Effects of Soil Moisture Content on Photosynthetic Characteristics of Flue-cured Tobacco Cultivar G80
-
Abstract
The photosynthetic characteristics of flue-cured tobacco cultivar G80 under the different soil moisture content conditions were studied. The results showed that high soil moisture content had a smaller effect on the net photosynthetic rate of G80 leaves during fast growing and early ripening periods, and low soil moisture had a more significant effect on it. Enough soil water was favorable for increasing the net photosynthetic rate of colonial tobacco plants during these periods.
