Analysis and Improvement of Factors Influencing Blending Uniformity in Primary Processing

  • In order to blend the cut tobacco in a processing batch more precisely and ensure blend consistency, all factors influencing blending processing were analysed on an instantaneous precision basis, and the screen for dried cut strips and proportioning weigher were improved. A loosening device was installed above the vibration screen to loosen tangled tobacco and optimize its size composition, and a spreader was installed at the discharge end of the proportioning weigher to avoid tobacco jam and ensure the continuity of tobacco flow. The results showed that:1) Tobacco loosening, the uniformity and stability of instantaneous flow were the key factors influencing the consistency of tobacco makeup in a cigarette;2)After improvement, the instantaneous blending precision reduced from 1.84% to 1.09% and the deviation of actual makeup in cigarettes decreased from 1.30% to 0.79%. Tobacco was well loosened and tobacco jam avoided, the quality control and process control in cigarette manufacturing were effectively improved.
