Improvement of Dustproof Device for Linear Motor in Cigarette Hopper in GDH1000 Packer

  • The dust buildup on the shaft of linear motor in cigarette hopper in GDH1000 packer accelerated the elements'wear and reduced motor's life. Therefore, the dustproof device for linear motor was improved by making and installing a cavity ring around the end of motor shaft and introducing compressed air to form an annular air curtain and cushion around motor shaft to prevent dust buildup. The results of application showed that the new dustproof device effectively eliminated the dust buildup on motor shaft sleeve, the wear between motor shaft and sleeve caused by dust buildup was avoided. Motor replacement reduced to once from 18 times per 6 months,which saved more than 200 thousand RMB yuan in cost. And the machine efficiency was increased.
