GC/MS Analysis of Volatile Components in Tieguangyin Tea Stem Concrete and its Application in Cigarette

  • In order to develop a new natural tobacco flavor, the volatile components in concrete of Tieguangyin tea stem was extracted by SDE and analyzed by GC/MS. 58 volatile compounds were identified, and the major components were(E)-nerolidol,(E)-geraniol,linalool,linalool oxide,phenylethyl alcohol,dehydrolinalool, α-terpineol, phytone, phytol, isophytol, n-hexadecanoic acid, ethyl hexadecanoate, ethyl linoleate, ethyl linolenate, and dibutyl phthalate. The contents of linalool, n-hexadecanoic acid, phytol and(E)-nerolidol were 13.27%, 12.40%, 7.74% and 5.99%, respectively. The concrete of Tieguangyin tea stem was added into cigarettes as a flavoring, the evaluation results indicated that it could enrich tobacco aroma, reduce the irritancy and improve the aftertaste of cigarette obviously.
