Determination of Selenium in Tobacco and Tobacco Products with Microwave DigestionGraphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry
-
Abstract
A method for determining the selenium in tobacco and tobacco products with graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry was established by using microwave digestion technique to pretreat samples along with optimizing ashing temperature, atomization temperature and matrix modifier selection. The results showed that the method featured high precision with the relative error no more than 4.58%, the recovery ranged from 97.90% to 103.10%, and the detection limit of 0.035μg/L. The method is suitable for the determination of selenium in tobacco and tobacco products.
