Improvement of Design for Discharge Channel of Cigarette Hopper in Cigarette Packer

To prevent the cigarette from unsteadily moving in discharge channel, reduce the incidence of cigarette packer failure and improve packing quality and machine efficiency, the connecting plate and discharge guide plate in discharge channel of cigarette packer were improved by minimizing the contact area between cigarette and discharge guide plate and enlarging the area of discharge channel. The cigarette staggering or misalignment caused by uneven contact between cigarette and the guide plate during falling was decreased. The improved design was introduced in ZB45 packer for export to Indonesia, the machine ran well, the cigarettes moved smoothly and steadily, the machine failures because of unsmooth cigarette falling was reduced by 36%, and the running efficiency of the machine was raised by 3% comparing with the original design.
