3D Simulation for Pneumatic System in Cigarette Makers of Different Piping Structure

  • CFD 3D technology was adopted to simulate the pneumatic systems in cigarette makers with centralized piping or conventional piping. The simulation results showed that: under the same pressure at the system’s outlet and the same air volume from each branch pipe’s inlet, the pressure value in each branch pipe in a centralized piping was basically the same as the setting output pressure value with the maximal relative error of 3.33%; while the said maximal relative error in a conventional piping was 5.83%. The simulation results provided reference for the design and engineering application of pneumatic system in cigarette makers with different piping structure.
