Efficiency Analyzing for Transport Jet in ZL28 Filter Maker

Abstract
To run the transport jet in ZL28 filter maker more efficiently,the mathematic model of the jet was developed by analyzing its working principle and aerodynamic characteristics.Keeping the pressure of input compressed air unchanged,the effects of input air volume and cross-sectional area at outlet on the negative pressure formed in the jet and the quality of filter rod were experimented.The results showed that:1) With a constant cross-sectional area at outlet,input air volume positively proportioned to the negative pressure in the jet.2) At constant input air volume,the negative pressure in the jet rapidly increased first then decreased gradually with the increase of cross-sectional area at outlet.3) Filter rods with inadequate filling or recessed-end would occur when the negative pressure in the jet was too weak;the draw resistance of filter rod varied wider when too much air was introduced.Transport jet would reach its optimal efficiency when the opening of proportional valve of input air was controlled in the range of 60%-90% and the graduation of cross-sectional area at outlet set in the range of 3-6.
